Main issue was key sticking in the ignition frequently when shutting off the engine and not being able to remove it. I have to restart engine, put into gear, and move Colorado back and forth a bit, put back into park, turn engine off, then try to remove key. It can take several attempts doing this before the key releases. This problem started several weeks ago and has been happening more frequently . The dealership was apparently unable to create this problem, so they say "No problem found at this time" and could do nothing. The morning after leaving the dealership the problem happened again - I had to go thru above procedure 3 - 4 times before key released. Two days later (yesterday) same problem - this time it took 8 - 10 repetitions of restarting engine, moving vehicle, turning key off to remove it. Dealer maintenance report says I just need to push in on the key and it can be removed - I do this but in these instances it still does not release. I have been driving this Colorado for two years - why would it suddenly be just a matter of my not pushing in on the key to remove it?? Only once so far have I had to leave the key in the ignition in a parking lot in order to go inside to keep an appointment. Don't think I want to do that very often. Perhaps I need to return to the dealer, drive around in their parking lot, stopping, shutting off the engine as many times as it takes to actually create this problem?
