Firstly I am disappointed that my engine, which has been meticulously maintained, had not one, but two of the four pistons fail under 90,000 miles. One was replaced under warranty, the second failed so badly it damaged the cylinder and I had to replace the engine. This engine has known issues as I have read the horror stories of other customers that had the same ordeal happen to their vehicles, why is GM not stepping up and warrantying its manufacturing problems that are causing this? I paid a significant sum to have the engine replaced at a GM certified dealer, then had several problems occur that didn't exist before the engine replacement so had to take it back and wait 11 days for them to correct the issues that they should have made right when the new engine was installed. I have been a driver of GM vehicles for over 30 years, this situation makes me think it may be time to consider another manufacturer. DO BETTER!!!

I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. The mechanic broke the lug nut off and I was told they may have to replace the lug nut plus the stud at a cost to me of $400.00 and maybe more if a hub beating is needed. I declined having it repaired because they broke it not me. After having my Chevy Trax serviced there since 2016 I will not be returning.

Dealing with the service department here is terrible!!! Very disorganized and they never seem to have enough representatives to help people. Just like the last time I brought my car here I stood waiting for 10-15 minutes for someone to check me in at the desk. I said before I would not bring my car back here for service, frustratingly so since I bought my car from this dealer! At least this time my service was done in a timely manner, however Mike Castrucci needs to get this situation corrected. I have been in about 3 times with my car to the service department and one time I actually spoke with the service manager about the way things were done/handled and clearly that didn’t help!! I’ll find somewhere else to get my car serviced!

Not happy with customer experience at all! I had a diagnostic done prior to arriving and knew the problem with the Check Engine Light was the EVAP Purge Valve. Yet we still have to pay $200 for you tell me what I already knew. This is a 30-minute job and the part was $73. Originally when I received a call they quoted $675!!!! What?!!!! I called back and said there has to be a mistake. Well, it turns out there was a double charge on labor. The new total was now $431. Still a mystery as to why so high. This is approximately a $200 job, if I'm being generous. Then, I go to pick up and the guy at the desk says $431.62. I walked to my car and look at the receipt. It's $444.67. WTH?! Nobody said anything about a 3% credit card processing fee. I would have written a check or paid with a debit card to avoid the extra revenue generation fee, if I knew about it. Total nonsense and a disappointment from beginning to end. We are going to be in the market for a new car and thought about buying another Traverse or Chevy, but this experience has me heavily doubting if we'll ever be back! Andrew was very personable and was flexible to work with us. I would work with him again. Now after we decided to buy the truck, the process took way too long. We were not even financing. One of the options was to trade in a 2011 or newer and get additional money back. I asked did it matter if the title was rebuilt, and was told no. So we went through that process, only to find out the incentive money would not apply to a rebuilt title. Waste of time on that, as I asked that question up front. Then we sat for 90 minutes without anyone talking to us waiting on paperwork. All in all we were there for 4.5 hours. The first 90 minutes were on test drives, etc. but the next three hours we spent waiting. Too long, very frustrating. Then on top of that, when I was getting ready to leave, we notice there is damage to the truck. Small but it is brand new. Last thing I wanted to do at this point is talk to OnStar trying to sell me a subscription to their service, but I had to do that as well. Overall, liked our sales person, but the rest of the process was disappointing.

I went in for my oil change and didn’t receive any windshield washer fluid. Mine was completely empty. Also I had mentioned the tire monitoring lite is on which was looked into. I was told two needed replaced. I didn’t want the alert on any more. It’s still on. I I was a few minutes early for my routine service. I pulled into the reception area, which was absolutely spotless and was escorted into the order writing desk. 1 year plus hatch door wouldn’t open but decided to on this given day plus paying $250 deductible. So since it opened can’t fix or see anything wrong. Then 4 - 5 months ago paid $250 deductible warranty again to fix this problem since it was happening more and more. Ordered & put new part on. Had to come back not working. Was told a short in it or connection fixed it or so I thought. It actually was a different piece of hatch hadn’t come in yet. I am livid. A wedding end of June, moving situation & I couldn’t haul for either daughter no hatch door. I was never asked if I needed a loaner car & numerous times/hours waiting on my car. I called general manager he helped with service manager to get me a loaner truck……I’m 5 ‘ 260 pds yep 67 yrs young climb in with bad knees lol. My rep josh was caught unaware I went through different rep he was out they didn’t communicate or ? Service manager was on vacation he did all he could to help I just want my hatch fixed. Last couple of times dealings with hometown dealer soured me and looking for a new dealer.

I went in for the 6.2L recall where they check the engine and if it's ok they just change the oil to a lower viscosity. Upon arriving I explained if it was going to take more than an hour or so it was important that I leave and come back to handle important work things. I was assured it would not and they recommended waiting. They started the service and after 3.5 hours notified me that they were missing a part and could not finish my truck without it. They were going to go get one from another dealership. At this point I had already missed my work meeting and asked them to get me the fastest way out of there. They explained that was a rental from hertz and would start the process. After another hour of feeling ignored and sitting there for 4.5 hours (for an oil change) they told me they didn't actually start the rental process but the part was there and they were going to finish. I finally got my truck and was able to leave and the next day a service transmission light came on. Terrible "service" for someone who is driving the most expensive 1500 Silverado you guys sell. Only silver lining was my salesmen (Mike) checking on me out of the blue and fighting to try to get the problem resolved faster. He's a good guy and has earned my repeat business on 3 trucks so far. We'll see if the dealership ruined that or if I'll be back next November for my 4th

My experience at River's Edge Collision was way below my expectation for service at a Castrucci Dealership. My car was scheduled to go in to the shop on July 21st. I dropped it off as I had been instructed. When I got there they seemed to be confused and couldn't find the paperwork. Eventually the paperwork was located and I left the car. No one told me what the expected repair time would be but given the damage I would have estimated week to 10 days. I called back late Thursday of the first week and was told they had only just taken the car apart and still had to assess for unseen damage. Given that information I rented a vehicle for another week (at my own expense). Toward the end of that week I called back and was told that they were now waiting for the insurance company to approve the trim parts they needed. Given that information I had to rent the vehicle for yet another week. I finally decided to go in to the shop on the following Monday and was met with nothing but hostility from the front desk person and yet another person who popped out of their office to tell me in no uncertain terms they had done me a favor by going ahead and ordering the trim parts without the insurance company authorization. I was very frustrated but at that point they are holding my car hostage. When I arrived back home that Monday morning I saw, in my e-mail, the authorization from the insurance company and e-mailed that directly to River's Edge. I finally got a phone call from someone on Wednesday that said my car might be ready on Thursday afternoon. I told them I couldn't pick it up then as I had another appointment. I indeed received a text message on Thursday afternoon that my car was ready. I went in on Friday morning to pick it up. The front desk person quickly grabbed the papework and told me I owed $1000 which is my deductible. I gave her my credit card and she said nothing about a fee for using the card. Next thing I know I am paying $1030 for this transaction! I wasn't going to deal with them at this point, I just wanted my car. When I asked where my car was located she just pointed to the parking lot and gave me my key. No one went over the vehicle with me to review the work that was done. I will never go back there for any collision repair. My husband and I have been buying cars at Castrucci Chevrolet for over 20 years and have always been treated very well. This is far below the standard for your organization.

AC was not working after 9 years so problem was the condensor coil had allowed all the coolant to evaporate shutting down the unit. You advertise a $64.95 oil change. Then you add a $30 shop fee plus tax. This put it up around $100. In comparison normally get my oil changes at Voss Chevrolet. $84.95. shop fee $4.97. Jeff Schmitt Chevrolet beavercreek.$94.99. shop fee $2.97. then I showed the service writer my OBDII code on my scanner P0430 code. Catalytic converter bank 2 inefficiency. He then walked out to the service Lane plugged in his OBD to verify. Took 30 seconds.. you charged me $185 for that. To be fair I knew about that charge in advance but I still think that you're taking advantage of people in my situation and I think that you're playing games with your oil change pricing. I live in Dayton so it's a drive for me to come there for an oil change that's why I do them here. Basically I feel like I've been hustled.

I always have my car serviced at the dealership. I had an oil leak repair done before 60,000 miles. I was told I had another oil leak around early March. I asked if it was normal to have another oil leak in such a short period of time and I was told it happens a lot. Seems unacceptable but I didn't feel like there was much I could do. I eventually brought my car back to confirm the leak, I explained the car was under extended warranty. I was told the repair was extensive, that it would be about 20 hours worth of work. I was told I could get a rental but I would have to cover the expense, that the warranty company would have to approve the work before they would cover a rental. This was on Friday Aug 1st. I didn't receive any updates so I called on Thursday Aug and was told the insurance company had not provided the approval yet. I called again on Friday and I got the same answer and was told I would get an update before the end of the day. At this point I was without a car for a week. I did not receive a call so I called again on Saturday. The person I spoke with could not provide me any information and the person that I had been working with was not there that day. She was polite enough to tell me I could contact the insurance company myself, when I called them they were able to set me up with a rental and told me the dealership received an email on Wednesday approving the work. On Monday I was told the dealership had just received the approval and had to order the parts before the work could be started. I did let them know that the insurance confirmed they sent an email the week before but the dealership said they didn't have it before Monday. I did talk with a manager on Wednesday, I was concerned the insurance would stop paying for the rental before the work was even started. I was told the dealership would cover the remainder of the rental and I would receive regular updates of the status of my car. I was notified on Aug 20th that the dealership had all of the parts and work would begin. I reached out on the 25th for am update and was.told it would probably be the end of the week before work was complete. I asked for an update on the 28th no update on the car. The 29th I reached out and was told it would be Tuesday before it was complete. At this time I was also charged for the rental and when I asked I was told the dealership was handling it. When I did not receive a refund or update on the rental or repairs I reached out again on Sep 2nd. No update on refund or car. On Sept 3rd I contacted the rental car company with no issues and had to relay that back to the dealership so they could workout the rental car expenses, I did not get an update on the car. On Sept 4th, I was told the rental car was worked out and there was another oil leak found when test driving and it would be the following week before the parts would be received. I finally got my car back on Sept 13th. I went almost 1.5 months without my car, and 99% of the time I only received updates if I reached out and asked. I was also surprised when I picked up my car and owed $251. No one ever talked with me about what the insurance covered and that I would have an out of pocket expense and when I questioned it when picking up my car the guy was rude to me. My biggest complaint is lack of communication. The original timeline I was givin was a few days, that turned out to be over a month. This isn't the first issue I have had when bringing my car into the dealership, I am not a complainer but this was a bit much. Some genuine communication goes a long way I should not have had to call for updates especially if this is not considered the norm. It is highly likely that I will continue my regular maintenance at a different dealership moving forward.

I had my 2014 Equinox looked at by a trusted mechanic before I brought it to Castrucci for break repairs. I am a female & have been ripped off in the past. It is obvious by driving my car that there was a serious brake problem. The mechanic diagnosed the problem as a warped left rear rotor. I explained that to castrucci. I personally witnessed the employee at Castrucci drive my car around the parking lot. Needless to say the parking lot is filled with vehicles & customers & such. No ability to get the car up fast enough to determine if there was a problem. The employee who checked me in advised that the problem was just a nuisance & no need for repair. Really? The car shakes terribly when trying to stop from a speed of 35 mph or higher. So I will now take it elsewhere for obvious necessary repair. I purchased this vehicle new in 2013 at Castrucci Chevrolet.

Check in was friendly and I was told it would take about 2.5 hours. I let them know that was fine I brought my computer with me to work on a few things. After 3 hours I go into the service area to check if it would be done soon.. only to see my car just sitting there and 2 guys sitting chatting about personal stuff with each other and my blue paper just sitting on someone’s desk that wasn’t even there. Really irritating I have no idea how long my car was sitting there done and no one said a word. Secondly the last time I had come in the person that helped me was great and we talked about a plan to get some maintenance at my next visit (which is this visit). He said I was looking at around $500. This time around it was $630 and that was with a 15% off coupon. Honestly after sitting there so long and being irritated seeing my car just sitting there I just wanted to get out of there but the more I think about the whole experience the more irritated I am. I’ve been coming there for awhile, actually drive all the way from Mason because I was impressed with the service I’ve received prior to this and my daughter goes there and even bought a car there. This experience did not align with what I’ve experienced in past visits.

My engine/transmission trouble light came on. I was able to obtain a reservation on Thursday. My light came on during the weekend. I was not able to bring in my truck on Thursday due to medical issues and doctor appointments. I took it in on Tuesday instead. Taylor helped me with checking in my truck. I told him I had an early appointment for Thursday. He was able to diagnose the problem and repair it before my actual appointment time. I was happy and impressed. Turned out that my 1st cylinder glow plug had failed on my Duramax Diesel. Thanks guys for your prompt and helpful effort to get my truck back to me so quickly.

I was a bit upset with the services provided. I brought my car in on Monday and didn’t get it back until late afternoon on Tuesday. I was shocked by the final price. I was originally quoted $185, but I ended up paying $327. Essentially, I paid that amount for you to plug a flash drive into my car for a software update, which I thought would be the original price because it's an update for the car using your program. The agent told me they said the number over the phone on Monday night, but there was no recall because he mentioned the $185 again.

Brought truck in for smell of raw diesel exhaust inside the cab. They initially stated that there was an issue that they could duplicate. Had the truck for 2.5 weeks never found the exhaust leak and charged me $450. Since they could not find the leak they stated that the smell of diesel exhaust is normal. I have driven the truck for 5 years and 125,000 miles. It is certainly not normal. I brought the truck back on 12/4. again they tell me this is normal. Communication with advisor and service manager is terrible. I have an appointment with another dealership on 12/10. I will share the results once they diagnose the issue.

Vehicle failed alignment. I purchased the alignment with my oil changed. Paperwork provided showed my new alignment measurements but did not include the original one. I had to go back and request the document. The paper given to me at checkout had an area where the technician would enter original measurements but it was blank. The bottom half did have the new alignment information.
